Bauer loses out on medals at World Championship
The Czech cross-country skiers chances of getting a medal were dashed at the finish at the World Championships in Oslo this afternoon, as both Lukas Bauer and Martin Jaks didn’t make it into the top three.
The Holmenkollen 15-km track and some tough competition proved too demanding for 33-yr old Bauer, who eventually finished in seventh. He could not hide is complete disappointment at the placement, also as there were high hopes of him getting the Czech Republic a medal. His colleague Martin Jaks passed the line in eighteenth place.
Gold went to young Finnish skier Matti Heikkinen, who was followed by the Norwegian duo of Eldar Roenning in the silver spot and Johnsrud Sundby who took bronze.
