Festival 4+4 Days in Motion: Culture Adrenaline in Prague
The 17th International Festival of Contemporary Art 4 +4 Days in Motion, which is held in Prague from 26th October to November 3rd is here and offers nine days full of cultural adrenalin. Visitors are able to select from a wide spectrum of innovative, progressive and often provocative artistic projects – theater and dance performances, exhibitions, events in public spaces, installations, screenings, discussions, street plays , video-art and special concerts. All have one thing in common: they break visitors away from the stream of everyday life and get them closer to whatever interesting and actual is happening at the current time, both in the world and in our country.
As a part of the theatrical section, which focuses on contemporary dance this year, it is possible to see artists from Israel, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, USA and Slovakia perform. “At first it was not a plan, but later, yes, after many years we invited foreign artists representing contemporary dance,” says the editor of theater and dance program Pavel Štorek. The projects will be taking place at many traditional and non-traditional locations (an abandoned building of the former Casino at Pařížská 25, Archa Theatre, Studio Alta, Alfred, NoD, La Fabrika), so anyone has a chance to visit and embrace what contemporary art has to give.
