Foreign Ministry Sends Aid To Afghanistan and Zimbabwe
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic is providing financial support for the provision of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
The total amount of aid comes to CZK 5,000,000, with the assistance to be used to provide the population with food in Afghanistan, as the situation there is considered extremely difficult.
It was said that achieving military superiority over the Taliban, despite all the measures taken, has failed to date. Moreover, the southern and south-eastern regions of the country are under the full control of the resistance forces, which greatly complicates the delivery of food to the local population.
In South Africa, assistance will be distributed through the non-governmental organization “Doctors without Borders”. The funds will be used to buy drugs for HIV-positive people.
Zimbabwe is currently experiencing a humanitarian catastrophe, because not only are people dying every day of hunger or AIDS, but the collapse of the economy has begun to destabilize the whole region.
