Patrik Elias reaches 900 points for New Jersey
New Jersey Devils lost Sunday against Montreal Canadiens, but for Devils’ Patrik Elias it was a special night. He score one goal and made one assist in the overtime loss, which means he has now made 900 points (363 goals+537 assists) for New Jersey.
The former HC Kladno player got drafted in the second round by Devils, 19 years ago. He only played in one game for the Devils his first season. 1045 games later he reached the nice milestone of 900 points in the NHL, and all for the same team.
Elias has played for New Jersey his whole NHL career and he has the team record for career points, goals, assists, hat tricks (8), game winning goals (78), most points in one season (96 points in 2000-01), most points in a playoff season (23) and leader in playoff goals (45), assists (80), and points (125).
